Intro

The Cobra Attack helicopter has been part of the backbone of militrary aviation. It came into service during the Vietnam War, for the Army. This particular version, the AH-1S, was produced by Revell. It is a 1/48 scale kit and depicts the "modernized" AH-1S Cobra, with the 20mm guns. In addition, the kits has orange panels, which depicts a training unit. I will be painting the panels, as opposed to using the decals. If you have any additional pics or information about this helo, please contact me here.

This first series of pics is of the base coat of the interior...medium gray for the interior, black for controls, olive drab for the pilots. A good start.

Have some additional pics of the cockpit below...the instrument panel turned out nice...I used Rub 'N Buff to do the highlights...I really like this stuff...until it starts to dry on the brush...so you gotta use it quickly. I haven't really been into the whole "coloring" of the cockpit thing...I've always stuck to the dark/white contrast. However, with my next kit, I plan on trying to add more color.
