For those of you who don't know, Isshinryu Karate is an Okinawan style of Karate. As Karate styles go, it is very young...only beginning around 1956. It was created by a man named Tatsuo Shimabuku. He was a master in Shorin-Ryu, Gojo-Ryu, and weapons. He created Isshinryu as a product of Shorin-Ryu and Gojo-Ryu, taking the most desireable aspects of each and blending them into one style.

Here we hope to entertain/educate you with informative articles and discussions on the Isshinryu Basics, Kata and Weapons studies. Also I hope to serve my local dojo, MSBC Karate Club.

MSBC Karate Club - Who Are We?

December 14 , 2004>> MSBC Karate Club will meet on December 18, 2004. You will not meet on the 25th, or Jan. 1, 2005...for obvious reasons! LOL!
